On the first day of camp, we thought it was going to rain, but it held off and we were able to go swimming. A few other times on swim days it was supposed to rain, but didn't. On Wednesday, there was a 90% chance of showers, but it held off until half an hour after we came back. Which is good, because I don't have much of a backup plan.

We are being overrun with milk. The kids get free breakfast and lunch, and milk comes with both meals. If they don't want it, they leave it on the table. At the end of the day, Anthony brings out all the leftover juices, sandwiches and milk, and tries to get the kids to take it. They usually take the food and the juice, but leave the milk. The official policy of the city is that food the children don't take should be thrown out at the end of the day, but we would hate to do that. Anthony had a "gallon challenge" going on, where if the kids drank a gallon of milk by the end of camp, half-pint by half-pint, they would get a prize. My boss canceled it after one of the kids threw up. I think I might have the kids make pudding next week to use it up.

Speaking of milk, I've discovered a new favorite mixed drink this weekend. The Cowpuncher. One ounce of rum and one ounce of white creme de cacao over ice, and the rest of the glass filled with milk. Its a daily dose of calcium and intoxication!
