It took a few times before I caught them at home, but I finally talked to my downstairs neighbors yesterday.  They had not heard about the breakins on our street, although they had heard about the samurai killing.

I'm back to my pre-pregnancy weight, why am I not fitting back into my size 12 pants?  Actually, they were getting pretty tight before this.  I may just have to accept that I'm a size 14 now.  Luckily I got a bunch of nice pants that size from a lady on freecycle, so I won't have to buy a whole new wardrobe.

Last week I decided to get out of the house and go to some mother's groups.  On Wednesday I went to a La Leche League meeting.  The leader was impressed with how much I already knew.  She said all the advice she usually gave to new mothers I already knew. Thanks, [livejournal.com profile] breastfeeding !  The leader was nursing a three year old.  Its so different that nursing Biggie.  He would be bouncing off the walls, pause to come to his Mom and pull her shirt down, then go back to playing.

Then on Friday I went to a new mother's group at GBMC that Carrie, my friend from the Bradley class suggested.  And who should sit next to me but [profile] pink_or_blue and her baby (who turned out blue).  What are the odds?  Well, probably pretty good that I would run into one of my lj friends in real life, since I friended all the Baltimore Moms in my due date community.  But still, to sit right next to me has to be a rare coincidence.  There were three sets of twins there.  One lady told me she was afraid that she would have twins, since her father was an identical twin, and her husband's family had identical twins as well.  She was quite relieved when I told her identical twins weren't hereditary, just fraternal.  I think I'll go back next week, it was fun.  LLL is only once a month.

Freecycle!

I love Freecycle so much. They helped me get 200 empty paper towel tubes for my kids this summer. Before this, my best personal score was a leather motorcycle jacket. But today I picked up a garbage bag full of clothes from my doppelganger.  She has the same size clothes as me and the same shoe size as well, and the pants are all talls. There was a whole suit in there!  I don't think I'll have to go shopping for another year.
